The range includes new releases and classic titles from the underground and beyond on CD and vinyl, rare pre-owned hip hop vinyl, battle tools and DJ accessories, gear from labels such as One Leg Inc, Blank, Burn and more, DVDs, aerosol paints, markers and an extensive selection books and magazines relating to hip hop music and culture.

Soul Clap carries on the Sydney tradition of hip hop retail created by The Lounge Room and continued by Next Level Records, whose premises Soul Clap took over in 2006. The Soul Clap staff have been contributing to the local scene as DJs, journalists and more for many years and have a dedicated passion for all elements of hip hop culture.

Our online store offers the most comprehensive selection of hip hop products in Australia and the best pricing on most available items. We pride ourselves on providing unrivaled customer service, quick turn around and attention to detail when packaging orders. All orders over AU$100 placed in Australia are subject to free postage and all orders greater than AU$50 receive a free item of your choice from the available free items at the time.

How to Order:

Soulclaprecords.com makes ordering as simple as possible. While browsing categories the 'buy now' button will add an item to your cart. When you have finished shopping, viewing your cart will give you the option to adjust quantities of items if necessary and choose your shipping and payment options. All items that appear on the website are in stock at the time, however there is the possibility of the item being purchased from our actual retail store before the order is processed. If this is the case, you will be notified in your order email informing you that particular item is out of stock and when it is expected to be back in stock. Once all your details have been entered, you will receive an automated email letting you know your order has been received. You will then receive a full confirmation email from one of our staff within 24 business hours including all payment and shipping details. We ship orders Monday to Friday, all orders placed before 2:00 PM on these days will be shipped the same day. If you encounter any problems with the shopping cart you can email your order to us. We also accept phone and fax orders.

Australian Customers

We've chosen Australia Post to handle delivery of all our orders. Australia Post offers a safe, fast, cheap and reliable service. However we recommend registered parcel post for large orders. At an extra $2.50, it guarantees a safe delivery. If you're in a rush to receive your order, Express Parcel Post offers next business day delivery to most metropolitan areas. Each item in the store is individually weighed and our shipping calculator works out the actual postage cost plus $1 for packaging and handling. All orders over the value of $100 will receive free regular Australia Post shipping. If your order is over AU$100 and you wish to select registered parcel post or express parcel post you will be charged the difference.

Overseas Customers

For most orders we recommend Air Mail shipping, Australia's Air Mail rates are some of the cheapest in the world and they also provide a swift shipping time. Other options include EMS Merchandise Shipping which provides a door to door courier service with electronic tracking. For more affordable rates we offer Economy Air Mail and Surface / Sea shipping. Please Note: We DO NOT recommend Sea Mail for any vinyl orders!

Australian Customers

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Bankcard. All details are entered on a secure server giving total security. If you do not wish to enter your details online, there is an option to ring or fax to make your payment manually. Direct deposit is also available, you will receive our banking details and instructions via the order confirmation email. We also accept Paypal and Australia Post money orders, which can be purchased from any post office for the cost of $2.50. Orders being paid via direct deposit, money order or Paypal will be held for 7 days, if payment is not received within that time the order will be cancelled and the items placed back into stock.

Overseas Customers

Customer Log In Info:

Soulclaprecords.com offers a customer log in which will automatically enter your existing details into the order form when you place an order. Once logged in you will be able to change your details if required.

Record Grading:

Every pre-owned record purchased by Soul Clap Records is individually inspected by a member of our staff. We clean every record and grade both record and the cover. We also list the country of origin and other details such as if it's an original pressing, promo, re-issue etc.
Covers will be graded by general sleeve, cover and spine wear. Any serious damage to the cover will be listed in the description.

We price all records according to current market value and condition. All records that are listed as 'New Copy' are current releases or re-issues direct from the distributor.
We strive to bring you the most concise and accurate descriptions as possible, if you need more information about any item, please contact us.

Our Grading Method:

MINT : The Record should appear to be perfect. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains labels or writing, tears or splits. Mint means perfect.

MINT- : The Record otherwise mint but has one or two tiny inconsequential flaws that do not affect play.

VERY GOOD+ : The record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully. Not too far from perfect. On a disc, there may be light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve or the vinyl or some of the original lustre may be lost.

VERY GOOD : Record displays visible signs of handling and playing, such as loss of vinyl lustre, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. Some audible surface noise, but should not overwhelm the musical experience.

GOOD : Record well played with little lustre and significant surface noise. Despite defects, record should still play all the way through without skipping.

Minus : Record is somewhere between higher grading and mentioned grade.

Plus : Record is somewhere between lower grading and mentioned grade.
